A thermal insulating plaster can be used to provide thermal insulation to a building when there is a need to increase the thermal performance of existing masonry (for example in the refurbishment of historic buildings with loadbearing masonry, including stone) or to upgrade the insulating capacity of new masonry by locally correcting thermal bridges.
The Laterlite Termointonaco range includes two thermal plasters based on expanded recycled glass beads, one with a cement binder and the other based on natural hydraulic lime (NHL) with very good breathability; both products are completely mineral and incombustible (Euroclass A1), do not degrade over time, cannot be attacked by insects and termites, and are highly stable and resistant to compression.
Laterlite thermal insulating plasters can be applied to traditional backings such as brick, concrete block, stone, structural reinforced concrete, and concrete or hollow clay block slabs.
